United Indian Associations Inc (UIA) is committed to serve the Indian Diaspora in Asia Pacific Region and also from the mainland. UIA proudly announce the establishing of "Overseas Students Helpline".
Over the years there is enormous increase of Indian Students to Australia. UIA and its member organizations are receiving numerous requests to help overseas students. The queries range from:
- Which is the best university to study?
- What is the fee structure?
- Will I get PR after studying in Australia?
- Can I work whilst studying?
- What are current immigration rules?
- How is cost of living?
- Will I get shared accommodation?
- Arrival information?
Apart from above frequently asked questions, there is a vital issue being faced by a segment of new arrivals in this country, be it is student, or a permanent resident, i.e. "Post Arrival and Settlement" issue.
UIA intended to address the issue and assist all Indians who are facing traumatic situation. UIA is establishing "Overseas students helpline ", where students can get assistance calling by the help line.
UIA Help Line will cater the following:
- If you are newly arrived student or a permanent resident,
- Would you like to get initial help
- If you think you need assistance or advice
